Information poles are electronic devices with high visibility LED displays, located near bus stops to communicate to users waiting for public transport, forecast information regarding the arrival of public transport.

The wide informative capacity of the poles allows to visualize, through written and / or graphic drawings, information on the line number, the destination and the waiting times of the bus. This last figure fully highlights the function of electronic signs, particularly useful in the event of accidents or other unpredictible events, thanks to their ability to be updated in real time.

Electronic signs are flexible in their use: in addition to guiding users with forecast data, and in situations of normality, they communicate any useful information or advertisements.

For a better and more complete service, information poles can have an audio system installed on the support, to spread the messages displayed in a vocal way, in order to facilitate blind people.

The mechanical integrity of the posts is guaranteed by the use of high-strength materials for the support structure and the use of front screens to protect the display, both from atmospheric agents and from vandalism.

System architecture

The electronic pole is a system that communicates via GSM / GPRS wireless technology with every public transport suitably equipped with a satellite tracking device (GPS). Thanks to this device it is possible to know the vehicle's position precisely at any time and transmit it to the pole, which after a precise calculation with respect to the predetermined route of the vehicle, displays the waiting times on the LED display. The integrated system composed of the pole and the bus is managed at a higher level by an operational control center, which allows you to configure the devices in real time and intervene in case of need.

SmartLine series

On-ground systems

Thanks to the use of high definition and visibility displays, SmartLine series information poles display both the arrival and departure times of public transport and the service information on one or more sliding lines. Textual content can be divided over several alternating pages in sequence. They are available in different resolutions and LED colors to cover all the different types of stops and can be implemented with an internal vocalization system for vocalizing information displayed to help people with visual impairments.

Thanks to its small size, SmartLine series can be easily fixed to any shelter, thanks to simple brackets. The solid aluminum container and the frontal protection of the active area allow the posts to resist vandalism.

Pyxis+ series

On-ground systems

The Pyxis + series information poles mainly display real-time information about the arrival and departure times of public transport, on multiple lines of text and in sequences of pages. Thanks to a large graphic space available since the basic versions, it is possible to display in addition scrolling messages regarding the carrying out of the transport service (eg changes of route, times, etc.), use characters and images of different sizes. The displayed texts can be converted into voice messages thanks to the Text-To-Speech feature.

  • Installable anywhere

Thanks to the small dimensions, the poles can be installed in any shelter. In case of double-sided version, the display is installed on a pole. In any case, the solid aluminum housing and the 6mm Lexan active area protection allow the Pyxis + Series poles to resist vandalism.

  • Excellent readability

The use of SMD LEDs together with the automatic brightness control system allows the display of highly legible messages both during the day and at night.

  • Integration into other systems

The Pyxis + information poles are able to manage different communication protocols and can be integrated into fleet monitoring and localization systems (AVM / AVL).

Dedalus series

Thanks to a high-resolution white SMD LED display and the protection of an anti-glare screen, the Dedalus pole ensures optimal readability in all weather conditions to provide real-time messages about the arrival of public transport.

Thanks to the reduced energy consumption, the elimination of cooling fans and the use of high quality components, the Dedalus pole has a long operational life and does not need preventive maintenance.

The pole is normally controlled by a remote control center with dedicated software to exchange information to be displayed, configuration parameters and diagnostic information. Two additional local communication ports can be used in the field to perform the first installation or at any time for diagnostics and maintenance.

  • Predisposition for difficult environments

Thanks to its wide operating temperature range, the pole resists extreme environmental conditions: from extremely humid summers in India to the harsh winters of Kazakhstan.

Icarus series

Thanks to wireless UMTS connectivity, the Icarus pole can be positioned anywhere quickly and easily to provide real-time information on bus arrival. The use of white SMD LEDs also ensures optimum readability in all weather conditions.

  • Photovoltaic power supply

The Icarus pole can be equipped with a photovoltaic panel and power supply battery for autonomous operation both day and night, without the need for a power line. The installation of the photovoltaic model entails fewer bureaucratic permits and avoids costs regarding the laying of data and power cables. This way, passengers can get the information they need first.

  • Wireless information distribution

The pole displays textual or graphic information such as: bus arrival times, date, time and general notices regarding the public service, even in a sliding manner. All messages can be delivered wirelessly via UMTS technology.

  • Easy maintenance
